SPRING CAMPAIGN

The problem

Create graphics that can be used throughout the spring campaign of the Texas A&M University (TAMU) website and will replace busy and disturbing banners on a landing page (on the left) thinking about target users.

Solution

Create shapes and forms that can be used during the spring semester to generate new designs for different web items. User research, learning TAMU branding, and the ideation process were conducted to come up with a solution.

Tools

Figma, After Effects

Inspiration

La Muralla Roja designed by Spanish architecht Ricardo Bofill

Color Palette

Usage of primary and secondary colors from TAMU branding and their shades/tints

Users

Users of lms.tamu.edu are faculty staff at TAMU, most of them with the range of 30-45 years old

Design Process

After busy banners on the main page, these banners were supposed to calm the users and be less disturbing to the eyes.

The buildings and stairs on the left were created in a way that they can all be mixed and matched with each other. Apart from colors, the moon became a uniting element. These shapes were used to create graphics for the spring campaign of the Office for Academic Innovation: website banners, LinkedIn posts, and email newsletters.

The Office for Academic Innovation sends email newsletters that notify faculty staff and students about updates, changes, and upcoming events. It’s a source of useful information.

The old email was created without wireframes and developed without designers.

Wireframe mockup: the colors were taken from the campaign branding and old icons were replaced with new ones.
